How many units is 5mg of tirzepatide

5 mg is step 2 of 6 of the Zepbound schedule. If you are using a pen, the dose is preset and there is nothing to calculate. If you are drawing from a vial, what you measure on the syringe depends entirely on the concentration of that vial — the table below gives 5 mg at each concentration commonly supplied.

A U-100 syringe is marked in units, not millilitres. 100 units = 1 mL. If your syringe is not U-100, none of these numbers apply.

Check the concentration printed on the vial you are actually holding. The same dose in milligrams is a completely different mark on the syringe at a different concentration. If the number here does not match what your prescriber told you, trust your prescriber.

5 mg is step 2 of 6 on the Zepbound schedule, with 15 mg as the labelled maximum above it. Plenty of people stay below the top step indefinitely; which step is right for you is a decision for whoever wrote your prescription, not something the schedule can settle.
